Hi, I’m Krista, and this is my little adventure in bringing my hobbies and gaming fun to life. I’m glad you’re joining me for this journey.

I’ve always felt a bit like I was born in the wrong era. My parents were very focused on minimal access to technology, so for most of my life, we didn’t even have a television. My siblings and I would play together, read books, or participate in other activities in the real world. I learned to bake, can/preserve, sew, crochet, knit, embroider, and cross-stitch from my mom and paternal grandmother. I learned the value of the labor in each of those activities, and for me, they are an expression of love.

Over the years, I’ve also found value in the respite these activities provide from the worries of life. I can lose myself and my worries in the repetition and rhythm of the stitches, eat away my cares with the yummy taste of warm baked goods, and nourish my body and soul with my favorite comfort foods. I’ve also learned that I can share my enjoyment with others. My family loves and treasures each handmade item, enjoys fresh-baked goodies, and tolerates my half-finished projects scattered throughout the house.

In 2017, my older sister introduced me to the world of massive, multi-player, online, role-playing games (MMO-RPG) through Lord of the Rings Online (LOTRO), and my life has not been the same since. I’ve grown to appreciate the online community and use my computer gaming as a way to connect with people virtually, which became critically important in 2020. I’m an extrovert through and through, and needed the connection with online friends to preserve my sanity. I purchased my first gaming console and became immersed in the Animal Crossing franchise during the COVID-19 Pandemic, and while working from home began to recognize the importance of a good work-life balance.

Now, I game for fun and the connection with my online friends, and I craft and bake for relaxation and personal fulfillment. My current games of choice include LOTRO, Stardew Valley, Ark: Survival Ascended, and Enshrouded. My hope is that the content of this site will showcase the things I enjoy and encourage others in their own passion pursuits.
